About Sharon Allen
.Growing up, all of Sharon’s relatives were singers and her home was always filled with music, whether it was a family gathering for the holidays or just sitting around the kitchen table with her father and his various band members picking out harmonies. One of her fondest memories is singing in the choir at their local church.
Today, Sharon is a singer, songwriter and children’s book author living in Central New York. During the day she performs children’s music, musical stories and author day visits at schools, day care centers and libraries and in the evenings performs with several musical groups including the Big D 3.
Sharon’s strong, passionate voice and her intense delivery have made her a central New York favorite with a devoted fan base. She covers a variety of genres including blues and classic and current rock while her driving percussion keeps the Big D 3 on the tracks.
